Scripture: Ephesians 2:10
Have you ever tried calling someone who never picks up?
Busy signal.
No response.
Unavailable.
In the same way, God sometimes wants to work through us — but we’re too busy, distracted, or overcommitted to answer.
God doesn’t just need our talent.
He needs our availability.
God Has Already Prepared the Work
Ephesians 2:10 says:
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
God has already prepared opportunities for you — moments to serve, encourage, love, and make a difference.
But if our schedules are packed with no margin, we miss them.
Margin matters.
Availability Is the Pattern
Isaiah said, “Here am I. Send me.”
Mary said, “I am the Lord’s servant.”
The disciples dropped their nets and followed.
What did they all have in common?
They created space for God to act.
A Practical Application
Ask yourself:
- Am I available to God?
- Or am I too busy to notice His nudges?
Maybe availability means:
- Leaving open space in your calendar
- Saying no to a good thing to say yes to God’s thing
- Putting down your phone and slowing down
God doesn’t ask for perfection — only availability.
This Week’s Challenge
Create margin.
Build space.
And when God calls, don’t send Him to voicemail. Say, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.”
